Q. Why clean your air ducts?
A. Most of us have seen dust collect in inaccessible places in our homes. If you forget to vacuum under your bed for a few weeks you will find large accumulations of dust. Can you imagine what you’ll find in a ventilation system that hasn’t been cleaned in 5, 10 or 20 years? In addition to being unpleasant, the dirt found in heating and air conditioning ductwork is often composed of insects, dust mites, animal hair and dander, pollen, cigarette tar, fungi and bacteria. These contaminants can aggravate allergies, asthma, sinus conditions and headaches.

Q. How long does the air duct cleaning process take?
A. The process takes roughly an hour per AC unit, depending on the size of the area and what services you are getting. If you need the blower and cooling coils cleaned, that adds about a half an hour to the process.

Q. How often should I have my ducts cleaned?
A. The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) says every 5-10 years for minimum health risk. We say every 3-7 years for optimum benefit for Arizona residents.

Q. Do you use water to wash the ducts?
A. Never. Moisture in air ducts produces mold and rust. Water in flex ducts is also very difficult to remove. Our system of cleaning uses rotating brushes and a high power vacuum to remove all visible particles of dust and mold. Chemical treatments may then be applied to treat microscopic particles that are left behind b the vacuum.

Q. Do you clean the blower and fan?
A. Yes. The Cleaning of the blower and fan is sold separately from the whole house package is also priced separately.

Q. Will my house get dirty during the process of air duct cleaning?
A. No. The vacuum has a HEPA filter that does not allow even the smallest particles to leak out. No dust will be spread around the house. All particles are removed straight into our containment system. Our technicians are clean and respectful of everyone’s home.

Q. Do you clean flex-ducts?
A. Yes. Our equipment is safe and highly effective for flex-ducts.

Q. Do you offer sanitizers?
A. Yes, we have a variety of chemical treatments for a number of air duct problems. The prices for these services range dramatically depending on the size and condition of the duct system. The technicians will be able to give a price once they have inspected the system.

Q. Could my AC be broken by cleaning the blower and cooling coils?
A. No. The blower and cooling coils have hook-ups that are mechanically simple. Also, the delicate and mechanical complex parts are located in the compressor, which we do not touch.

Q. Is it necessary to leave the house after chemicals are sprayed?
A. No. All chemicals we use are absolutely safe for all residence. Any excess chemicals that do not stick to the interior walls of the duct system will evaporate within minutes. However, if someone in your home in extremely sensitive, it may be a good idea to leave a few windows open for 20-30 minutes immediately after the treatment or before going to bed that night.
